Miami Dolphins’ Perfect Season Was 40 Years Ago; Shula’s Steakhouse Celebrates With “No-Name” Cocktail
The year was 1972. Head Coach Don Shula led the Miami Dolphins to their perfect season. It’s been 40 years, and no team has done it since.Â
In celebration of the 40th anniversary, Shula’s steak house is running some contests and specials.

To celebrate the start of football season this year, Shula’s will offer its No Name Cocktail. The drink, a turquoise and orange mix of Grey Goose l’Orange, St. Germaine, Aperol, and citrus juices, will be served in a Tom Collins glass etched with Coach Shula’s signature. The $ 17 cocktail is filled with layers of nostalgic significance: 17 for the amount of games played that season, “no name” for the No Name Defense that year, the Dolphins colors. Pure poetry for the Dolphins fanatic. Oh. And did we mention that with the $ 17 price tag, you get to keep the glass?
To create more hype, Shula’s is holding a contest to name the No Name Cocktail. Each location has entry slips behind the bar. Just have a drink, fill out the slip, and hand it to the bartender. At the end of the season, a name will be picked; the winner will be posted on Facebook and featured on Shula’s Steak House and Shula’s 347 Grill drink menus nationally.
