Hey, it doesn’t hurt to be honest with yourself. Burger Freak in Ft. Lauderdale fills the void for your kind ,um err our kind. The menu has some interesting concoctions on it, check them out below:
<div id=”attachment_8104″ class=”wp-caption aligncenter c4″><img class=”size-full wp-image-8104″ title=”Burger Freak Menu Small Version” src=”http://burgerbeast.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/BurgerFreakSmall.jpg” alt=”" width=”450″ height=”273″/>

Burger Freak has a sideshow theme which I happen to really dig. The walls are covered with old <a title=”Sideshow on Wikipedia” href=”http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sideshow” target=”_blank”>Sideshow/Carny Posters. I almost felt right at home.

There are plenty of options but I wanted to keep it simple for my first order. There’s a hot dog called the Beast but it’s half a pound and if I’m planning on having a burger too it would be a bad idea. I end up with the Grilled Devil Dog (half a Beast) and throw in a cup of their “Hamburger Chili”. On the burger side, I create my own: 6 oz. Angus Patty, Brioche Bakery Kaiser with Bacon and Cheddar Cheese (American was not available).

The “Hamburger Chili” is Hormel’s Chili and if I’m wrong (which is doubtful in this case) then it must be closest replica to it I’ve ever tasted. If you like Hormel canned Chili then this is for you, for me it was not. There went my original plan to dip the dog in the chili! I liked the toasted fluffy bread my Dog was served in. The jumbo half Hot Dog was split in half and crisped up. Some raw Onions and Yellow Mustard rounded out my toppings for the Grilled Devil Dog.
<div id=”attachment_8099″ class=”wp-caption aligncenter c3″><img class=”size-full wp-image-8099″ title=”Burger Freak Half Devil Dog” src=”http://burgerbeast.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/BurgerFreakHalfDevilDog.jpg” alt=”" width=”400″ height=”300″/>
Grilled Devil Dog

<div id=”attachment_8100″ class=”wp-caption aligncenter c3″><img class=”size-full wp-image-8100″ title=”Burger Freak Chili” src=”http://burgerbeast.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/BurgerFreakChili.jpg” alt=”" width=”400″ height=”300″/>
Hamburger Chili

The fries are “Natural Cut Fries” which means they’re not fresh cut but are as close as you can get by using the frozen stuff. And the burger? The Burger is a top notch fast style burger. I just wish they had American Cheese as I think it’s a better option for this type of burger.
<div id=”attachment_8101″ class=”wp-caption aligncenter c3″><img class=”size-full wp-image-8101″ title=”Burger Freak Angus Burger& Fries” src=”http://burgerbeast.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/BurgerFreakBurgerFries.jpg” alt=”" width=”400″ height=”300″/>
Angus Burger& Fries

<div id=”attachment_8102″ class=”wp-caption aligncenter c3″><img class=”size-full wp-image-8102″ title=”Burger Freak Angus Burger” src=”http://burgerbeast.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/BurgerFreakBurger.jpg” alt=”" width=”400″ height=”300″/>
Angus Bacon Cheeseburger

I’d like to go back and try out one of their specialty burgers, maybe The Sword Swallower (Burger topped with Sliced Italian Sausage) or The Two Headed Man (Burger topped with Hot Dog). Meat on Meat action, isn’t that what it’s all about my fellow Burger Freaks?

For Freaks & Geeks:

<a title=”The Burger Freak Website” href=”http://theburgerfreak.com/” target=”_blank”>The Burger Freak
Facebook: <a title=”The Burger Freak on Facebook” href=”https://www.facebook.com/TheBurgerFreak” target=”_blank”>The Burger Freak
6880 N Powerline Rd, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33309
954-969-0380

http://burgerbeast.com/2012/08/16/top-burger-in-downtown-miami/ http://burgerbeast.com/2012/08/16/top-burger-in-downtown-miami/ Thu, 16 Aug 2012 17:16:27 -0700 Burger Beast
<div id=”attachment_7987″ class=”wp-caption aligncenter c3″><img class=”size-full wp-image-7987″ title=”Top Burger – Counter” src=”http://burgerbeast.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/TopBurgerCounter.jpg” alt=”" width=”400″ height=”300″/>
(picture courtesy of Top Burger’s Facebook Page)

Guess what Downtown Miami? Invading the space formerly occupied by the First & First Southern Baking Company is Top Burger with the tagline “Good Food Fast”. I dropped in on Monday thinking they were open but they were having a Friends & Family event. I was told they were opening Friday but I’ve tried calling the number to confirm and received no answer.

I was at least able to snag a copy of the menu which I’ve scanned below. Burgers, Dogs, Fresh Cut Fries and a few other items make up the menu. They’re also doing delivery which is great for you local folks. If anyone hears anything about the opening date let me know.
<div id=”attachment_8054″ class=”wp-caption aligncenter c4″><img class=”size-full wp-image-8054″ title=”Top Burger Menu – Front” src=”http://burgerbeast.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/TopBurgerSmallFront.jpg” alt=”" width=”200″ height=”312″/>

<div id=”attachment_8055″ class=”wp-caption aligncenter c4″><img class=”size-full wp-image-8055″ title=”Top Burger Menu – Back” src=”http://burgerbeast.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/TopBurgerSmallBack.jpg” alt=”" width=”200″ height=”307″/>

Start at the:

<a title=”Top Burger” href=”http://topburger.com/” target=”_blank”>Top Burger
Facebook: <a title=”Top Burger on Facebook” href=”https://www.facebook.com/miamitopburger” target=”_blank”>Top Burger
Twitter: <a title=”Top Burger on Twitter” href=”https://twitter.com/topburger1″ target=”_blank”>@TopBurger1
Hours: Mon â€" Fri 11AM â€" Midnight & Sat/Sun 11AM â€" 10PM
109 N.E. 1st St, Downtown Miami, FL 33131
305-379-3100

http://burgerbeast.com/2012/08/16/burger-beasts-the-grinder-is-back-and-i-need-your-help/ http://burgerbeast.com/2012/08/16/burger-beasts-the-grinder-is-back-and-i-need-your-help/ Thu, 16 Aug 2012 12:47:48 -0700 Burger Beast

<img class=”aligncenter size-full wp-image-7998″ title=”El Santo Hamburguesa” src=”http://burgerbeast.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/El-Santo-Hamburguesa-Small.jpg” alt=”" width=”225″ height=”315″ />

A few years back I did this cool Question & Answer thing with local restaurant owners, Chefs and some Food Celebrities called <a title=”Bruger Beast’s The Grinder” href=”http://burgerbeast.com/2008/09/11/the-grinder-interviews-with-burger-big-wigs/” target=”_blank”>The Grinder.
